Anthony A. Scarsella Sr., 79, passed away. He was born May 2, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of James and Carmel Cicozi Scarsella, and was employed by U.S. Steel Corp. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.

He leaves his wife, Marie J. Cappazzuto, whom he married in 1947; two daughters, Marie "Penny" (Nicholas) Julian of Columbiana and Darlene A. Scarsella of Maryland; three sons, Anthona A. "Rick" (Patricia) Scarsella of Youngstown, Timothy J. (Marilinda) Scarsella of Estero, Fla., and David P. (Barbara) Scarsella of Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and a brother.
