Frank Boyd Dies at 74 in Foxburg

FOXBURG - James Frank Boyd, 74, a retired railroad conductor, died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday in his home here after an illness since October.

A resident of Foxburg his entire life, he had been active in civic affairs.

He was a member of the Memorial Church of Our Father, Foxburg; St. Petersburg Camby Lodge F and AM No. 520, Lodge of Perfection of Oil City, New Castle Consistory Legion of Honor of New Castle and Zem Zem Temple of Erie.

He also was a member of the IOOF Lodge of Foxburg, and Brother hood of Railroad Trainmen.

Mr. Boyd was a charter member of the Miller Rankin Post No. 636, American Legion, where he had participated actively since its organization.

He was united in marriage February 14, 1905, to Mae Ryan in Boston, Mass.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by two brothers, K. C. Boyd of Clarion and Joseph Boyd of Brentwood, W. Va., and one sister, Mrs. Cora Oyler of Baltimore, Md.

Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

The body will be removed at 1 p.m today from the Stuart Funeral Home to the family home in Foxburg where friends may call.
