Prior to moving to Warrenton 10 years ago, Mr. Urban lived for many years in Medford and Mashpee MA.
He worked for the John Hancock Insurance Company for 47 years, rising from mail room to a General Director.
Mr. Urban served in the Rainbow Division of the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a POW in Germany.
He received a Purple Heart.
He was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mr. Urban is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Shirley M. Urban; five children, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Anna Coleman and Irene Loper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, October 21 at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St., Warrenton, VA. Interment with military honors will be at 2 PM on Monday, October 26 at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
