N. Grayce Stambaugh, 80, of 2384 New Franklin Road, died on Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Sept. 8, 1920, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Frank Eberly, who had lived in Stoufferstown.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Chambersburg and its Dr. Kathryn Keller Bible Class, which she taught. She was member of ELCA Church Women and was a past president and member of the Congregational Council.

Mrs. Stambaugh also was a member of Falling Spring Chapter 2840 of the American Association of Retired Persons; the auxiliaries of Gettysburg Lutheran Home, Luther Ridge, Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and New Franklin Volunteer Fire Company; and the board of directors of Operation Concern since its beginning in 1965. She was a Republican committeewoman in Guilford Township's District 3.

A member of the Franklin County Memtal Health board of directors, she was an active volunteer for its social club for the clients and for 30 years was a member of Migrant Ministry of Franklin County (Fruitbelt Farmworker Christian Ministry).

She and her husband, John M. Stambaugh, were married on June 16, 1940.

Besides her husband, surviving are a son, J. Ronald; two grandchildren, Lori S. Hepfer and Adam K.; and a great-granddaughter, Kaylyn S. Hepfer. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.

Arrangements are by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg.
