Miss Blanche Amelia Jones, 44, 513 N. Collett, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 17. She had been ill on year.

She was born Nov. 30, 1913 in Marion Township, Allen County. She was the daughter of Evan H. and Hazel (Ward) Jones, who survive.

She had been employed for three years as bookkeeper at the Otterbein Evangelical United Brethren Home, Lebanon.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Ralph D. of Harrod and Floyd E. of San Antonia, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Dudley (Dorothy) Buck of Fairmont, W. Va. and Mrs. Adrian (Mary) Gettman of 329 N. Jameson; five nieces and two nephews. Two brothers were killed during World War II. First Officer ATC Kenneth W. Jones, who was killed Feb 5, 1943 and Evan H. Jones who was killed Jan. 16, 1943

She was an active member of the High Street E.U.B Church and had been a Sunday School Teacher in United Brethren Churches for 28 years. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Phi Lambda Sigma Sorority.

Miss Jones graduated from Elida High School in 1931 and King's College in Delaware in 1955.

Funeral arrangements were handed by Chiles and Son Funeral Home.
