He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and retired as Chief Deputy of the Commissioner of the Revenue's office in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Munden Grant; son, John D. Grant of Virginia Beach; daughter, Donna S. Grant of Williamsburg; sister, Velma G. Ryan and husband, Kevin of Waynesboro; two granddaughters, Brittany Gloshen, Tiffany Porter and husband, Sean; and one great-granddaughter, Rylie Gloshen.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the Grant Family Cemetery, Rockbridge County. Friends and family wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
