Services for Louise Harrod Heaton Reading, 90, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 2pm Tuesday, October 20, 2015, with Pastor Terry Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 12 noon. Mrs. Reading passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, in Lexington.

Louise was born January 20, 1925 in Hazard to the late Delmar and Grace Bradley Harrod. She was the widow of Daniel Reading and was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Heaton. A graduate of Bridgeport High School, Louise retired from National Distillery Co., Frankfort. Mrs. Reading was a long-time, faithful member of Crestwood Baptist Church where she served in many capacities through the years, especially enjoying the Ruth Class and Young at Heart Group.

Survivors include a son, Robert L. Heaton Jr. and his wife, Rose of Louisville; two daughters, Sandra Heaton Clark and her husband, Jim of Richmond and Marcia Heaton Southworth and her husband, Wayne of Lexington; five grandchildren, Robert (Andrea) Southworth of Rociada, NM, Ryan (Carly) Clark of Bowling Green, Jody S. Morgan of Lexington, Bobbi (Kevin) Croce of Lexington, and Rebecca (Rich) Oeffinger of Louisville; ten great grandchildren, Kendall Morgan, Riley Southworth, Will Croce, Katherine Croce, Stella Croce, Wesley Oeffinger, Isla Oeffinger, Kennedy Clark, Brady Clark and Chloe Clark; sister, Dorothy Jones Griffin of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by grandson, James Michael Clark; three brothers; and s sister.

To honor her memory, Robert L. Heaton Jr., Wayne Southworth, Jim Clark, Robby Southworth, Ryan Clark, Rich Oeffinger and Kevin Croce will serve as pallbearers, while recognizing Billy and Jean Matthews, Elaine Mitchell, and the Joy of Ruth Class of Crestwood Baptist Church as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
