“Youth dies when car runs into pole on truck
PERRIS – An 18-year-old Riverside youth was killed in a freak accident yesterday morning, highway patrol officers reported when the auto in which he was a passenger ran into a power pole on a truck.
Dead on arrival at Hemet Valley Hospital was David Allen Lamb, 8056 Diana St.
Officers said the auto was driven by Noel Eugene Ochwat, 20, of 8421 63rd St., Rubidoux. He was southbound on Highway 395 at approximately 9:30 when the accident occurred.
The Southern California Edison truck driven by Michael Dean Kennedy, 23, of 535 Ruby St., Perris, also was southbound, turning right onto Nuevo Road, about a mile north of Perris. Officers said the pole went across the hood of Ochwat’s vehicle and smashed through the windshield on the passenger’s side.
They said Ochwat was slightly injured in the crash, but was not hospitalized.”

Lamb, and Jack R. Lamb, all of Riverside. Funeral services in the Garden of Prayer Chapel, Monday, March 8, 1971 at 10:00 am. Interment at Crestlawn Memorial Park.”
David graduated from Ramona High School, Riverside, Riverside County, California, in June 1970. He is still missed by his family (of course) and classmates to this day.
