Mrs. John L. Manlove, the wife of a prominent Posey Township farmer and a lifelong resident of the neighborhood in which she died, passed away at her home north of Yankeetown at one o'clock, this afternoon.

She had been ailing several months. Paralysis and a complication of other ailments afflicted her and she had been dangerously low for many days. The passing away of her life was foreseen by family and friends and all were as well prepared for it as they can well be for such sad events.

Mrs. Manlove was born near Bentonville and was about sixty-two years old. Her maiden name was Ellen Scott. About thirty-five years ago she became the wife of John L. Manlove, and all their married life was spent in the same community in which they first began housekeeping. Besides the husband, the deceased is survived by four sons, Omer, William, Park and Arthur Manlove and by three daughters, Mrs. James K. Mason, Mrs. Eunice Curtis and Mrs. Richmond Miles. These are the immediate relatives, and with them a countless host of home sustains a loss in her death.

Mrs. Manlove's life was one of industry, of motherly devotion and of constant usefulness and the neighborhood, as well as the Manlove home sustains a loss in her death.
