COLONIE Ann Marie Riley, age 76, peacefully entered into eternal life Sunday, October 11, 2015, after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. Born in Albany, she was a life long area resident and the daughter of the late William A. and Anna M. Hart Riley. Ann Marie was a New York State employee for 40 years, retiring in 2001. She worked for the Public Service Commission for 20 years and then for the Dept. of Education for another 20 years. She was a longtime communicant of the former Our Lady of Angels Church and a volunteer in the thrift shop. Most recently, she was a communicant of Christ Our Light Church. Ann Marie is the beloved sister of the late William A. Riley Jr. and the late Edward P. Riley. She is the cousin of Patricia Van Apeldorn, Cathy Klaas Shastany, Peter Riley III (Mary) and Steven Klaas-Ruggles. She is also survived by her close friend of 52 years, Norma "D" Knauf and several other cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr. Loudonville. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday before the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
