Earnest Childers Is Called By Death
Last Thursday death called and carried away Earnest (Big Boy) Childers, age fifty-five of Kona. Big Boy Childers as he was always known to his friends of Letcher County, came here some twenty years ago, settled around Kona, married Susie, the daughter of Frances and Riley Sparks of Bottomfork, and was well known and loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and a son Billy, who tendered him in his several months of illness. He was afflicted with cancer, and sometime Thursday a sudden hemorrhage brought about his death. The funeral services were conducted at the home of his father-in-law, Sunday at one o'clock, after Which the remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery on Bottom Fork.
