E.J., a nickname that all his family and friends knew him by, worked at Georgia-Pacific for over 27 years, where he was a Pulp Processor. After retiring from Georgia-Pacific, he worked with Meals On Wheels and at Dillard’s in the shoe department. E.J.’s family recalls that he was proud to be from Georgia and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He will also be remembered as an avid bird hunter; especially enjoying hunting ducks and doves. He loved country music, karaoke, going on long car rides and going to McDonald’s for breakfast with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers. A celebration of E.J.’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Greenhill Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Gene Raney Jimmy Cagle officiating.
