"Bill" Herwick's family (step-father Ernest Hosmer, Mother Ethel Hosmer, and his 1½ yr old half-sister Ersie) had a homestead near Pisgah Home. Fred William (Bill) Herwick, Jr. was walking home from football practice on the railroad tracks with some friends when he apparently grabbed the end of a bunker on a logging train and fell under the wheels. His is the only grave at this site.
