Rita Karen "Kay" McDonald, 65 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, June 13, 1950 in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Sanders and the late Maybell Colvin Sanders.
Mrs. McDonald was a retired employee of the City Of Newbern and member of Melvell Methodist Church since 1962.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Keith McDonald of Newbern, Tennessee and one daughter, Monica McDonald of Newbern, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Sanders
Pallbearers will be Larry Tharpe, Joe Peevyhouse, Jamie Clements, Bobby Ozment, Brad Ing and Jeremy Peevyhouse.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kathy Clements, Wendi Mills, Tammy Ing, Janie Clements, Charlotte Tharpe and Tammy Ozment.
