Jason Clyde Buchanan, age 31, of Electra, Texas, passed away June 1, 2008 in Wichita County, Texas.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Electra with Paul Winegeart, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Auld Funeral Home of Electra.
Jason was born November 14, 1976 in Vernon, Texas to David Lee Buchanan and Neoma Janette Doherty Buchanan. He attended Vernon High School. Jason was employed by Wright's Meat Packing in Vernon.
In 1996 he moved to Electra and was employed by Natco where he was a supervisor.
He and Betsy Southerland were married February 14. 1999 in Electra.
Jason loved spending time with his children and he adored babies. He enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife Betsy of Electra, four daughters, Hattie, Jonie and Nellie Buchanan, all of Vernon and Macey Buchanan of Electra, one step son, Bryce Corrales of Electra, his mother and step-father Neoma and Curt Justus of Electra, his father and step-mother, David and Shirley Buchanan of LaPlaze, Louisiana, his grandmother, Ann Roach of Roswell, New Mexico, three sisters, Jodie Fisher and husband. Chris of St Bernard, Louisiana, Jennifer Givens and husband Landon of Electra and Natalie Justus of Electra, two brothers. Curt Justus. Jr of Wichita Falls and Jeffery Justus of Electra, several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Scott Fennell, Landon Givens, Keith Hopkins, Craig Mahler, Scott Schlegeland James Shipley._
