Patricia “Patty” Johns Herndon, 69, of Jesup, Georgia died Monday, October 12, 2015 under the care of Georgia Hospice of Jesup after an extended illness. The Duval County, Florida native had lived in Wayne County, Georgia the past 8 years and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, was a homemaker and enjoyed writing.
Survivors are her husband of 44 years, Robert M. “Bobby” Herndon of Jesup, Georgia; sister, Charlotte Slack of Jacksonville, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Faith Chapel Southern Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. James Carter officiating.
