Dwayne is survived by his wife Nelva Howard of Taylor, Nebraska. Three children, Johnny and Sandra Howard of Burwell, Nebraska, Gary and Jan Howard of Ord, Nebraska and Laura and Dan Kling of Harrison, Nebraska. Eight grandchildren, Lucus and Miranda Howard, Eric Howard, Kristen and Josh Conner, Kelsey and Keith Yeomans, Melody Howard, Corinne Kling, Joshua Kling and Katlynn Kling and three great-grandchildren, Arlo Conner, Maya Yeomans and Kenadie Yeomans. Two brothers, Fred and Darlene Howard of Sargent and Donald Howard of Taylor, Nebraska and a sister, Lila and Dennis Dunbar of Torrington, Wyoming.
Dwayne was born January 29, 1940 in Loup County, Nebraska to Edward and Wilma (Loghry) Howard. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1957. He then entered the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii.
Dwayne married Nelva Clements on June 23, 1962 in Taylor, Nebraska. Dwayne farmed and ranched with his parents and his brother Don until his parent’s death and then he and Nelva farmed and ranched on their own. His hobbies were working and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed deer hunting with his family. He served on the fair board, ASCS and the election board.
Dwayne Stephen Howard, 75, of Taylor, Nebraska died October 15, 2015 at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord, Nebraska.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Anna Dove and a granddaughter, Rachael Howard.
