Mr. Benny Joe Clark, age 65 of Franklin, Ky., entered into rest Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 7:18 AM at his residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. A native of Franklin, KY., he was the son of the late Roy B. Clark and the late Ruby H. Brawner Clark. He was preceded in death by a sister Patsy Freas and a brother Tommy Clark.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Aaron Clark, a daughter Shellie Clark Jones (Josh) and son Bryan Clark (Robin Becker Clark) all of Franklin, KY.; a brother Wayne Clark (Linda) of Centerville, OH. and a sister Hilda Clark Warren of Brentwood, TN.; 5 grandchildren: Alex Becker, Hannah Clark, Justin Jones, Cassie Jones and Neely Clark; his brother-in-law David Aaron (Marie) of Omaha, NE. and several nieces & nephews.
Mr. Clark was an employee of the Kendall Co. for 36 years. He coached baseball and served as President of the FS Little League. He was known for his love of cars and drag racing as well as an avid Yankee and UK fan.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2015 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Saturday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
