Mrs. Rebecca Goode Padgett departed this life on June 13, 1997 at Carrillion Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County, VA on July 22, 1956, to Mr. Willie H. Goode and Mrs Christine Taylor Goode.

She joined Poplar Spring Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the Junior Choir for many years. She was a kind person to everyone she met.

She leaves to mourn one son, Jerry A. Padgett; one daughter, Tamika N. Padgett, both of Bedford, VA and a special devoted daughter, Kimberly Rios of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, James H.Goode and Eric D.Goode, both of Roanoke, VA; three sister, Patricia G. Braxton of Reston, VA, Debra G. Chambers of Forest, VA and Kathy D. Goode of Arlington, VA; one brother-in-law, Chester A. Chambers; one sister-in-law, Pamela Goode; and a host of uncles, aunts, many relatives and friends.

Devoted friends, Henry Dyke, Barry Battle, Timothy Bailey, Roy Stevens and Sally Bradley.
