DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- Mrs. Donna Fuehrer Atkins, age 57, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, February 17, 2012. She was born July 12, 1954 in Fort Meade, MD. Donna worked in Government intelligence in West Africa and had worked for many years at Harvester Christian Academy. She was a founding member of Harvester-Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church, and was a current member of First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville. She is survived by her husband, DB Atkins of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Christy Atkins Cheek and her husband Steven of Villa Rica, GA; son, Blake Atkins of Douglasville, GA; mother, Nancy Fuehrer of Augusta, GA; sister, Frances Jo and her husband Col. Gary Sexton of Fredericksburg, VA; one niece and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Fuehrer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. James Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park...
