" SS Huntsvale, built by Flensburger Schiffsbau Ges., Flensburg in 1898 and owned at the time of her loss by Fisher, Alimonda & Co. Ltd., London, was a British steamer of 5398 tons. On November 4th, 1916, Huntsvale, on a voyage from Salonica to Algiers in ballast, was sunk by the German submarine UB-43 (Hans von Mellenthin), 200 miles east from Malta. 7 persons were lost."
