Jarrald was born about 1739, and was listed in the 1782 Virginia heads of Household, for Sussex County, as having nine (9) white souls. This figure included both the husband and wife, indicating Jarrald had seven children. five of these births were recorded in the Register of Albemarle Parish, 1739-1778
