BRYANT, Calvin Bernard, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, after a short illness. Born October 21, 1924, in Charles City, Calvin worked as a mechanic at Curles Neck Dairy. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WWII. If Calvin wasn't at the hunt club in New Kent County, you could find him in his big vegetable garden. Calvin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernice C. Bryant; and son, Calvin Victor Bryant; brother, Lawrence Bryant; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, October 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., with service 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. Burial in Washington Memorial Park. The family would like to send a very warm and sincere thank you for all their help to Pat Beavers and Cynthia Coe.
