He married Lena Gregory December 31, 1930. After she died, he married Helen Shepherd Cays in March of 1964.
He lived on a farm for fifty years, and moved to Pontiac in 1940. He was a retired farmer. His only surviving sister was Susan Gourley of Lincoln, Nebraska.
