Funeral services for Clarence H. Rector, age 85, of Abilene will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. Mr. Rector passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Abilene Memorial Hospital.He was born March 13, 1930 in Abilene the son of Joseph and Estella (Gray) Rector. He lived his entire life in Abilene and attended Abilene Schools. Clarence worked for Morton’s Transfer & Storage for many years in Abilene and he enjoyed fishing.He is survived by his brother Arthur of the home, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Everett, Clifford, Herbert, Harold, Deward, Charles, and Bob; sister Dessie Funk, infant sister Della Mae Rector and his parents.His final resting place will be in the Abilene Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund of Dickinson County and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
