Faye Murphy, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away September 14, 2015. She was born June 6, 1929, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Walter Howard and Rachel (Wyatt) Goessman. Faye was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hot Springs for 18 years. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Thomas Murphy; daughter, Amber Parker; brother-in-law, Don Outler; mother-in-law, Dottie Fisher; step-father, William Fisher; maternal grandparents; John and Lydia Wyatt; and beloved aunt, Martha Hart.
Survivors include sons, Larry Murphy of Hot Springs, Teddy Murphy (Peggy) of Lakeland, Florida; son-in-law, Milton Parker of Gainsville, Florida; brothers, Herbert Goessman of Tacoma, Washington, Walter Goessman (Nancy) of Mayflower, Arkansas; sisters, Virginia Haley of Hot Springs, Mel Hollis (Jim) of Siloam Springs, Audrey Outler Nelson (Pat) of Royal and Mena, Arkansas; grandchildren, Aaron Murphy (Ashley), Ryan Murphy, Jessica Parker (Mike), Jerry Piper; great-grandchildren, Logan, Ashley, America Joe, Chas, Chat, and Chase, Kylie and C.J.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Burton and Chaplain Herb Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Outler, Kyle Outler, Terry Haley, Pat Nelson, Jimmy Short, and Tommy Ainsworth.
