Bobby D. Hodges, Sr., 75, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015, at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, with Minister Deral McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation.

Bobby was born in McGregor, Texas, to the late Raymond Hodges and Athleen Blanchard Thompson. He graduated from McGregor High School in 1958. He married Beth Ferguson on August 3, 1962. Bobby later graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1978, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for over 30 years and retired in 1994 as Captain. He taught at Central Texas College for many years and was the department head in the Criminal Justice Department. Bobby also served in the Texas Army National Guard for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Hodges.

Survivors include his wife, Beth; daughter, Lisa Hodges and husband, Curt; son, Bobby D. Hodges, Jr. and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren: Curtis Hodges, Jr., Larisa Hardie and Bobby D. Hodges, III; and great-grandchildren: Stormi, Peyton and Sophia Hardie, other relatives and many friends.
