Fred Boblett Jr., age 73, of Covington Avenue, Springfield, passed away at 1 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Nelson County on Aug. 4, 1939 to the late Fred Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Hellard Boblett. He was a retired farmer and was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Boblett on Oct. 3, 1980.

Survivors include his former wife, Evelyn Fenwick Boblett; four daughters, Donna Osbourne of Bardstown, Mary Boblett of Springfield, Sandy Mattingly and her husband, Chris and Amy Barlow and her husband, Scott, all of Mackville; four sons, Joey Boblett and his wife, Kathy of Springfield, Chris Boblett of Springfield, Bradley Boblett and his wife, Bobbi of Willisburg and Matthew Boblett of Bradfordsville; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Boblett and his wife, Vianna of Springfield; and two sisters, Lucille Satterly and her husband, Wilman and Anna Mae Cheatham and her husband, James, all of Mt. Washington.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 3 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Puckett, pastor of the Willisburg Church Of God of Prophecy, officiating. Burial was in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Waynie Boblett, Wayne Smith and Travis Boblitt. Casket bearers were Ricky Boblett, Tracy Boblitt, Jaimie Cheatham, Robert Osbourne, Mark Cheatham and Stuart Cheatham. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
