He was the son of Arnold and Ethel Mae (Pangburn) Stroud and married Sandra Lee Parkhurst - 16 Sep 1961 - Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He later married Linda Lou (Fladd) - 01 Feb 1985 - Alexandria, Virginia. His obituary follows:

Funeral services for Paul Richard Stroud, age 74 of Flintville, will be conducted Saturday October 17, 2015 at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. John Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Stroud passed away Tuesday October 13, 2015 in St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

He was the son of the late Arnold and Ethel Pangburn Stroud. Mr. Stroud was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, employed as a head sawyer and an attended the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Stroud played a banjo and sang.

Survivors include his wife Linda Lou Stroud of Flintville, children Laura-Jean (Ricky) Herring, Nathan Stroud, Anna (Mark) Lemieux and Mark (Kimyona) Stroud, step-children Rich (Pam) Chapman, Franklin (Gabriella) Chapman, Laura Marie Chapman, Robert (Kimberly) Chapman, Linda Chapman, Arthur Chapman, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Bill Stroud and sister Ethel Thomas.
