Funeral service for Pastor Andrew Douglas will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Ebernezer Baptist Church located at 2124 5th Street, Lake Charles, LA. Pastor Gracie Malveaux of New Birth Holiness will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel. A wake will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 5 to 9 PM in the Fondel Memorial Church Chapel. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2015 from 9 to 11 AM in the Ebernezer Baptist Church.
Mr. Andrews departed this life on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital. He was born in Weiser, AL and lived most of his life in Lake Charles, LA. He retired from Firestone after serving over fifty years.
He leaves to cherish to cherish his memories two sons: Raymond (Rhonda) Daniels of Morgan City, LA, Charles Daniels of Meridian, MS; three brothers: Willie “Varnell” (Irene) Douglas Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Henry L. Douglas of Lake Charles, LA and Lonnie (Shelly Sue) Douglas of Wisner, LA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Odell Daniels Douglas, Sr.; wife; Russell Douglas; siblings: Eugene, William, Ed Jr. and Tom.
