On October 2, 2015, William “Dale” McBride was called to heaven to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Dale was born September 9, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lee and Irene McBride. He grew up in Del City, OK, where he graduated from high school in 1968. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army where he spent a year in Vietnam and continued to serve our country for 12 years. After leaving active duty, he join the National Guard and served another 16 years. Dale met and married the love of his life Rosalind Sue Speer in 1971. Together they traveled to many countries while he was in the Army.
In 1999 Dale went to work for Brown & Root and spent the next 2 years in Kosovo as a safety coordinator. In 2004 he went to work in Iraq, returning in 2007. When he returned he worked for other construction companies where he traveled throughout the United States. In 2010 Dale retired and spent his remaining years in Huffman, TX. In 2013 he joined the Freedom Cruisers Motorcycle Club, doing what he loved most…riding his Harley.
Dale is proceeded in heath by his wife Sue, parents Lee and Irene McBride, Brother Jerral McBride and Sister Peggy Allen. He is survived by son Jaison and wife Jessica, granddaughters Alyssa and Jordyn of Atascocita, Sister Latricia Gray, Brother Derral McBride of Oklahoma City, and Sister Carolyn Henry of Huffman, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. His final resting place will beat the National Cemetery at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
