Fannie Belle Cabe Henry

Fannie Belle Cabe Henry, 90, of Sugar Maple Lane, Franklin, passed into the arms of her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at a local nursing home.

Born in Macon County, she was the last surviving child of the late Thomas Jasper and Mary Rosetta Scroggs Cabe. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Theodore "Ted" Henry; a daughter, Joyce Rebecca Henry Tyler; six sisters; and five brothers.

She was a homemaker and a member of Union United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She was known far and wide for her cooking and charity.

She is survived by a grandson, Richard "Rick" Henry of Spruce Pine; two great-grandsons, Scott and Brian Henry, both of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m., at Union United Methodist Church. Revs. Don Moffitt and Mike Binger will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Bryant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church or to the Prentiss Church of God Building Fund.
