Sandi was to attend a double date with some friends. This was where she met Clarence. They began dating and were later married on November 4, 1962. They had four children: James, Penni, Lori, Paula.
The family moved from Havre to Worland in 1971. Sandi agreed to the move as it was only going to be for five years. They have been part of the Worland community for 43 years. Sandi was a stay-at-home mom for her children and eventually started babysitting. Her babysitting kids became part of the family. She cherished them as she does her own children.
Sandi enjoyed cooking, sewing and keeping up her flower beds. She volunteered with the Hospital auxiliary; her favorite task came to be running the games for the Ice Cream Social on the Hospital Lawn. She assisted with Special Olympics as a bowling coach. She served as 4-H leader for foods and sewing. She assisted with the Washakie County Fair as the crafts superintendent and spent many hours helping at the Worland Senior Center.
Sandi was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi; Worland Does #93 (where she held the office of President, Secretary, five year officer and a member of Grand Lodge); Washakie County Homemakers; and Grace Lutheran Church. Sandi was a bowler for many years with the Thursday night Ladies Choice bowling league.
Sandi was always willing to give a helping hand, if anyone was in need she was there to do what she could from cooking to organizing. She volunteered with many organizations and was awarded for her selfless service. She was honored as the “Unsung Hero” in 2009 by Wyoming Homemakers; in 2010 she was awarded “Hall of Fame” for Bowling; in 2012 she was part of the Wyoming Bowling Family of the Year; in 2013 she received a 10 year award as a 4-H Leader. Sandi enjoyed making lefse with the Grace Lutheran Church Women and hosting bridal, baby showers and fund raisers.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Charles; brother, Ronald; sister-in-law, Donna; nephews, Malcolm, John, Matthew, Mervin, and in-laws Albert and Cora.
