LORNA ELIZABETH DAVIDSEN OAKES

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on July 28, 1996 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on September 3, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Andrew Peter Davidsen and Hulda Larson. Married W. Donald Oakes on December 21, 1935, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1980.

Lorna was a member of Wasatch Presbyterian Church for the last 40 years. She was a member of the Lynds Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and received numerous awards for support of Masonic youth organizations. Prior to raising her children she was office manager and secretary for Simmons Mattress Company. She was active in the PTA and Boy Scouts of America.

Survived by her children, Kevin (Rhonda) Oakes and Kim (Larry) Oakes Beaslin; grandchildren, Alison and Joshua Oakes and Courtney and Nicholas Beaslin; sisters, Iva D. Blehr and Edith D. Nollkamper. Loran was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Davidsen and sisters, Belva Ronald and Mona Voyles.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1 at 12 noon at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 So., where friends may call one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice.

We love you, Mom and Grandma. Your love and generosity will shine in our hearts forever.
