Opal C. Bailey, 76, of Mansfield, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield. Born February 17, 1939 in Rone County, WV, she was the daughter of Gay and Hazel (Gandy) Crihfield. A homemaker, Opal enjoyed being outside and going for drives, especially in the fall to look at the changing leaves. She also loved spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Sammy. She is survived by her son, Mark Bailey; brothers, Oras Crihfield and Don (Dorothy) Crihfield, both of West Virginia; sisters, Marie Caddle and Fay Luknes, both of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Bailey; brothers, Bud, LeRoy, and Richard; and sisters, Emogene and Thelma. Friends may cal Friday, October 16, 2015 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor Matthew Pond officiating.
