Lola Lee (Coffey) Roberts, 81, Attica, passed away at her home from a sudden illness on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at 5:05 p.m. with her family by her side.
Lola was born in Wolf Creek, KY, on October 31, 1933. She was the daughter of the late James Ode and Alcie Elizabeth (Jones) Coffey. She was the last of ten children.
Lola married the love of her life, Elmer Roberts, Jr. On May 7, 1955 in Wayne County, KY. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1998.
Lola was a member of the Old Fashioned United Baptist Church in Independence. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, reading her Bible, singing and listening to gospel music, watching her movies and taking care of her cats. She enjoyed collecting bird figurines, angels and ducks.
Lola leaves behind her six children, Jim (companion- Julie DeLong) Roberts, Attica; Joyce (Charlie) Strickler, Attica; Janice (Robert) Swider, Potomac, IL; Janie Cox, Jessie (Penny) Roberts and Janette (companion-Rich Hislope) Roberts, all of Attica; 13 grandchildren, Randy (Lisa) Smith, Dawn (Brad) Searcy, Amber (Chris) Stultz, Brandye (Kris) Kizer, Robby (Niccole) Swider, Jarrod (Caesi) Swider, Dale (Danica) Swider, Brandon Cox, Staci Cox, Jesse Roberts, Josh Roberts, Tyler (Sarah) Knowles and Shelby (Kirk) Meyers; 14 Great-Grandchildren, Joe Smith, Kelsey Smith, Blake Childress, Ciara Childress, Alanna Searcy, Tristen Shutes, Krislynn Kizer, Kaylynn Kizer, Blaze Swider, Emma Swider, Gabriel Swider, Kolby Knowles, MaKenna Knowles and Aydin Hislope; a Great Great-Grandson, Joshua Weick; a special little brother Lonnie (Susan) Coffey; Brother-in-law, Clarence Keith; Sister-in-law, Doris Coffey.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, Oct. 14th, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 15th, at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Joel Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
