NOTE: Some information here is from the extensive genealogical manuscripts of one of Ichabod's descendants, Laura Idah (Meacham) Strobridge #129910701 (1855-1932)

Laura was the only daughter of Phebe Amelia (Craiger) and George Washington Meacham. At an early age, Laura became interested in genealogy; particularly the Meacham genealogy. At her death, her heirs, not being particularly interested in her work, sold or gave her manuscripts containing over 46,000 names to "THE CONNECTICUT HISTORICAL SOCIETY", Hartford, CT. The Society occupies rooms in the Wadsworth Antheneum at 624 Main St, Hartford, CT. This location is adjacent to the State Library.

from FAG Contributor #47509227: "The person who sent you the note giving the birthday as 11 June has no understanding of Old Style dating. The year began on March 25, hence the 6th month was indeed August. Not until 1752 did the Brits accept the Gregorian calendar. The Puritans didn’t like pagan names for the months, thus the use of numbers."

Hence, the Birth date has been adjusted from 11 Jun 1679 to
11 Aug 1679,
