RIDGELAND – Timothy Reid Tanner, 52, peacefully passed on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at his lakeside home. He was born in Tupelo on March 16, 1963, to Aubrey and Martha Williams Tanner. Tim was the general manager at Mazda of Ridgeland. He had a passion for anything with a motor, especially cars. Tim enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and had fulfilled his bucket list.When Tim walked into the room, he lit it up with his sense of humor and contagious smile. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Shuler Griffin officiating and eulogies by his children, Ivy, Madison, and Rushton Tanner. A private family graveside will follow at Saltillo Cemetery.

Survivors include his three children, Madison Gabrielle Tanner (Ryan Blake), Ivy Elizabeth Tanner both of Houston, Texas and Rushton Reid Tanner of Oxford; one grandson, Canon Clay; parents, Aubrey and Martha Tanner of the Carr Vista Community; sister, Teresa Cash (Danny) of Saltillo and their children, Justin Byrd of Collierville, Tennessee and Rachel Cash of Tupelo; a host of other relatives.

Honorary pallbearers will be the current and former staff at Mazda of Ridgeland and Barnes Crossing Hyundai Mazda, whom he considered family.
