Ella was fifth child born to Anna Marie and Adam Watt Lowry. It was noted she was a stenographer in 1905 living home as the adult most likely caring for her elderly parents and brother Jas. who was listed as a younger brother working as a laborer.
She and sister Grace Maud Lowry were very close and spent special times together in their adult years with family granddaughter Kris Dennie(Adsit) sharing how she remembered the two sisters reunion was full of laughter when together. Ella lived in the Clinton, WI. area and Sister Grace lived in Ipswich area, South Dakota so their visits were very special events.
Jesse Belle and Jesse's husband lived in Beloit with Ella and Roy in early 1910. Since all the siblings as well as Ella were born in the USA they most likely never knew paternal grandparents Mary and James Lowry of Ireland or her paternal great grandparents, Alexander Lowry and Martha Johnson Lowry from County Down, Ireland. All of the siblings were raised in Janesville, WI.
Her paternal uncles/aunts from Ireland were Aunt Mary Jane, Alexander, Robert, Samuel and Martha Lowry -(all of Belfast, County Down/Lisbane/County Tyrone, Ireland).
Her father and mother came to America in the 1860s. She watched her older siblings marry and move away except for Mary Jane who remained in the Janesville area throughout her life-great niece Colleen Marie Lowry(Mary Jane's great granddaughter) was blessed to meet many great aunts/uncles as well as cousins and share her story.
Ella had 7 siblings: in order- Mattie(Frank Coonan), Mary Jane(Robert S. Lowry), Grace Coulter Bebermeyer, Blaine, Jas, Everett Lowry and JesseBelle(Howe Allen).
She lived (prior to her marrying Roy) with Jas and her parents- with her work as a stenographer, a pioneer in her time to be working/ supporting her family.
She experienced the plague in Rock County in early 1900s that lasted several years that took many lives including her own family, enduring and mourning the family deaths-Blaine, Jas, Everett.
Her family had lived next to her father's cousins Robert/Mary McCann Lowry (cousins of Ireland in the LaPrairie township in the 1880-1905) and her extended cousins Andrew, Mary, John, David, Robert, Henry Lowry.
She was blessed to meet and marry Roy Dennie in 1913. They lived in Beloit where Roy worked.
This union was blessed with Robert(1914), William(1915), and Arthur(1916).
She was blessed with three grandchildren. She lived her life out in the area with 3 of her 6 great grandchildren born before her passing.
Her husband died in 1947 and was placed to rest at Eastlawn Cem. She died in May 1974.
