Services for Mrs. Minnie Wright, 93, a lifelong resident of Monroe were held Saturday at the Monroe Methodist Church. The Rev. James Poulsen, minister of the church, conducted the services.

Mrs. Wright died at a Knoxville nursing home Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery.

Minnie Balmer Wright, daughter of Catherine and Fred Balmer, was born February 18, 1871, at Monroe, Iowa. She spent her entire lifetime in this community and attended schools in this area.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Preston Wright February 14, 1894. To this union was born one child, Cleo Wright of Monroe who survives. One granddaughter, Mrs. Delores Wells of Monroe, and one great-granddaughter also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur, who passed away in 1931, a grandson, Dwight, who passed away in 1933.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Monroe.
