TOLZ, Thomas N. - Age 54, from Manistique, formerly of Vassar went to be with his Lord on January 19, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care in Goodrich. Tom was born July 24, 1950 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Jacob and Joyce Stolz (Moore). He later married Sharon Sweet on September 2, 1968 in Thetford. Tom retired from GM's Plant 6 after 30 years of service in 1998, and was a member of Local UAW #699. He was an avid outdoorsman and golfer, he loved to travel and work on computers, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon; mother, Joyce; son, Tom Jr. (Samantha) Stolz of Kalamazoo; daughters, Julie (Frank) Licavoli of Caro, Lisa Stolz of Grand Rapids; brother, Ron (Chris) Stolz of Burton; sister, Dawn (Bill) Haughey of Grand Blanc; in-laws, Joyce and Bruce Sweet of Columbiaville; brother in law, Bruce Sweet, Jr. of Ann Arbor. He is survived by his 6 special grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Hayley, Noah, Jonah and Luke; as well as 2 nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father, and nephew, Ronnie Stolz. Funeral service Saturday 11AM from the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. Friends may visit at Jansen Family Funeral Home Thursday 5-8PM, and Friday 3-9PM. Rev. Paul Varoni officiating.
