Paul owned and operated Bollinger Excavating in Carson City for over 30 years, before his retirement. He also spent over 10 years working with New Tribes Mission, building homes in Sanford, Florida for retired missionaries. Paul was a longtime member of the Sheridan VFW. He was a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Carson City.
Paul is survived by his children, Roger (Robin) Bollinger, Robert "Bob" (Sharon) Bollinger, Barbara (Kevin) Loudenbeck; ten grandchildren, Thomas (Jennifer) Loudenbeck, Abigail (Dannie) Larder, Andrew (Meagan) Loudenbeck, Jaclyn (John) Ney, Zachary (Justine) Bollinger, Benjamin (Jennie) Bollinger, Mitchell (Rebekah) Loudenbeck, Kelly Bollinger, Justin Bollinger, Christopher (Cheyenne) Bollinger; 16 great-grandchildren. Also is wife Norma Jean Horn and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nancy; and his siblings, Miriam and Thomas Trew, Marjorie Bollinger and Keith and Sharon Bollinger.
Funeral services for Paul will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Center with Pastor Jim Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Carson City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City and again on Friday from 10 am until the time of services at fellowship center. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund or Fellowship Baptist Academy William McAllister scholarship fund.
