Martha A. Miller Frank passed away peacefully on September 25, 2015 surrounded by family.
She was born in Holtville, CA on January 15, 1924 to Karl Josef and Anna Muller.
Martha attended Eastside School and graduated from Holtville High School in 1941.
She married George H. Miller, Sr. in 1944. Together they had four children.
She then married Hans Frank in 1983.
Martha served the City of Holtville as City Clerk for 25 years. She was also a very active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Soroptimists, Women's Club and Swiss Club of Imperial Valley. She was honored as Citizen of the Year in 1999.
Visitation and rosary will take place Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Holtville. Mass will commence at the church at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Martha will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro following Mass.
Martha was preceded in death by her spouses, George, Sr. and Hans; son, George, Jr.; parents; brothers and their spouses, Joseph (Marguerite), Walter (Sheila) and Leo (Lucille); sisters, Anna and Hedi; son-in-law, Larry G. Iten.
Martha is survived by her children, Anne Iten, Pauline (Dennis) Downs, and Robert Miller; step-daughter, Anita (Andy) Evans; grandchildren, Georganne (Pete) Guillen, Allyson (Adam) Evans, Jeffrey (Pam) Downs, Jeana (Tom) Faretta, Anthony (Betsy) Iten, Josef (Tanya) Iten, and Jennifer Downs; and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Martha's name to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or Pioneers Museum, or a charity of your choice.
