Gayle R. Duncan, 53, of Kirby Rd., who had been in ill health since 1962, died this morning at his home of a self-inflicted shotgun wound.

Mr. Duncan, a farmer, was the son of the late Charles R. and Lula (Fox) Duncan.

He leaves his wife, Leona; sisters Mrs. Mabel Sipes and Mrs. Don Beckett, both of Indianapolis; two grand nieces, a great grand niece and one great grand nephew.

Mr. Duncan was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Greene and Harrell with Rev. Robert W. Watson as minister. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hyschel Ward, Harry Magner, Carl Clark, Richard Lee, Charles Harding and Norwood Dougherty.

Friends may call at the Allen Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Surviving are his wife, Leona; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Sipes of Indianapolis; one niece, Mrs. Don Beckett of Indianapolis; two grand nieces, a great grand niece, and one great grand nephew.

Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Greene and Harrell chapel with Rev.Robert W. Watson and Rev. Raymond Shields presiding. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Everett White, Siegel Sexton, Leroy Baker, Leon Weaver, Bud Duncan and Orville Duncan. Flowerbearers will be Betty White, Mary Burkhart, Doris Combs, Ann Snodgress, Rhea Barrick and Nell Olsson.

Friends may call at the funeral home today and until time of the service.
