Alfred Lewis Hering was born in Philadelphia to Alfred Christopher Hering and Rebecca Lewis. He was in the Army Air Corp during WW2 and trained pilots for the war effort incl B25 and also trained on a Steerman PT19. He was an excellent artist and over time he lived in Phiadelphia, Darby PA, Havertown PA and Sunnyvale CA and was a wonderful outgoing, loving interesting man. He is survived by three of his four children. His wife died in 2012.
