Donna J. Hibbard Townsend, 79 of Sullivan, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 in Oak Village Nursing Home in Oaktown, Indiana. She was born December 28, 1935 in Cass, Indiana to Clint and Mabel Heady Gott. She had worked at Gossards for 24 years and the Sullivan Elementary School for 28 years. Survivors include daughters Darlene (Brian) Hibbard Brown and Misty (Trent) Townsend Everhart both of Sullivan. A brother Billy Joe (Barb) Gott of Camby, IN. Step-daughter Anna Rose Alliss of Macon, Georgia. Grandchildren Kristopher (Megan) Hibbard, Tabitha (Miquel) Hernandez, Logan Brown, Austin Dubree, Jaelyn & Peyton Arnold. Great-grandchildren Brian Gabriella and Scarlett Hibbard, Angelica, Zendalin, Winson and Zuriel Hernandes. Step-grandchildren Jerry (Karen) Yeary, Debra (Sammy) Barnes, Steven (Jan), and Brian Alliss all of Georgia, Tricia (Kevin) O’Carroll, TX., Lisa Alliss of NC, and Sharon (Marc) Elfenbaum of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Rev. John B. Hibbard in 1971, a sister Barbara Sue Gott 1990, her second husband William J. Townsend 1995, and a sister-in-law Mary Jo Gott. There will be a private burial service. A memorial service for Donna will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Harvest Temple Church of God in Sullivan with the family receiving friends from 1:00pm till 2:00pm with services at 2:00pm with Rev. William Ray Gott officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Harvest Temple Youth Group. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
