Juanita Stevens Benson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 3, 1920 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Lois Myrtis Whitmire Stevens. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock and was a retired beautician. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing in church and in a quartet.

Mrs. Benson died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Joplin Health and Rehab Center in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 95.

She was preceded by the love of her life, James Benson and her siblings, Olice Stevens, Willa Bucchanan, John Thomas Stevens, Virginia Evans, Nancy Tapp and Marjorie Stevens.

Survivors: daughters, Joan Glogobac and husband Ilya of Montenegro, Serbia, Diane Bowman and husband Charles of Webb City, Missouri; brother, Bob Stevens of Colbert, Oklahoma; sister, Barbara Nichols of Redfield; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Marlow Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Bob Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in the Ico Community. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
