GOLDIE V. "Betty Jane" STRAUB, 71, of 832 Chestnut St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. Born April 2, 1927, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter the late Russell Dewey and Bertha Susan Irvin Guessford.
She attended Little Falls Chapel of Falling Waters, W.Va. She was a supporter of The Visiting Church Ministry of Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Watkins Straub; three daughters, Judy McFarland of Landisville, Pa., Joyce Hawn of Hagerstown and Pastor Linda Reese of Martinsburg, WV; one son, Denny Straub of Hagerstown; two sisters, Dorothy Kline and Mildred Ebersole of Hagerstown; one brother, Ralph T. Guessford of Hagerstown; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery, Clear Spring.
