Judith Lynn Philpott – Hopkins, 76, of Franklin, Indiana, died October 11, 2015. Born April 9, 1939 in Columbus, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Neysa (Jamison) Long.

Judith was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and enjoyed horseback riding, dancing, and roller skating. She is described as “The best mother ever” by her children. She loved her dog and precious companion “Jackson”.

Judith is survived by three sons; Robert W. “Sonny” Philpott, Donald “Frank” Philpott and Edward L. “Eddie” Philpott; two daughters, Vanessa “Ness” Quick and Jowana “Wonie” Philpott; nine grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jowana Kaye Long.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
