Sheri was born in Springfield, Ohio, on Dec. 2, 1956, to Dale and Carol (Pencil) Rhonemus. Sheri attended Rockway Elementary and middle school, graduating from Shawnee High School in Springfield. She received her Bachelor of Science in education in 1986 from Sam Houston State University and taught elementary school from 1986 to 1988 in Houston, Texas. She also taught in Orange County, Calif., from 1988 to 1994. When the family moved to Logan, Utah, in 1994 Sheri dedicated herself as a homemaker and a full-time mom.
Also during this period she devoted much of her time to volunteering in the community with ice hockey-related activities. Sheri was an avid gardener and loved to travel, visiting many locations throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Kurt, her two sons, Kyle and Quinten; her sister, Lori, and husband, Kevin, and their two children, Taylor and Elizabeth.
